The use of portable storage media such as USB flash drives and SD memory cards is a safety issue for enterprise networks as they could infiltrate the network with malware. As a result, the use of such media is often prohibited. But what if data stored on portable media needs to be uploaded and made available over the network?

Closing The Security Gap

mySND-120 File Server makes the utilisation of portable storage media safe and easy by allowing only authorised users to access file types which have been defined by the IT department.

You start by creating an admin user account on mySND-120 via HTTP(S). Next, use this account to create up to four user accounts. You can link specific SD cards to these user accounts and define filters for file types ( e.g., .jpg, .pdf, etc.).

Many Management Options

Access and manage attached SD cards and USB sticks with the File Browser, the user web interface of mySND-120. The management options of mySND-120 include automated e-mail sending: New files in a predefined folder will be automatically sent to specified recipients via e-mail

Up to six file types can be defined for e-mail transmission per folder. An archive bit marks transmitted files so they will not be sent again the next time the portable medium is attached.
